1
Discovery (30 minutes)Your project manager extracts 6-10 specific, granular life events — not categories, actual moments. The story you tell at family dinners. The thing you can talk about for 2 hours.
2
Narrative arc selectionWriter selects the 1-2 stories that fit the brief's evaluation criteria and proposes a narrative arc (often a turn-the-corner moment or a discovered-purpose moment).
3
Draft 1 in your voiceWriter drafts the essay using your phrasings, your humour, your specific details. No corporate-speak.
4
Voice reviewYou read draft 1 out loud over a 5-minute call. Anywhere it sounds ‘not me,’ we re-write that paragraph.

Final polish + verificationFinal draft delivered with a 0% Turnitin AI report and clean Turnitin similarity report.
How is a personal essay different from a UCAS personal statement?
A UCAS personal statement is a 4,000-character / 47-line UK undergraduate application document focused on course motivation and fit. A personal essay is a longer (500-3,500 words) narrative form used for scholarships, US-style admissions, reflective coursework and creative-writing programmes. The voice and structure are completely different. Confirm which one your brief actually wants before ordering.
Will my personal essay sound like me?
Yes. We start every personal essay with a 30-minute discovery call (or detailed questionnaire) so the writer captures your voice, specific stories and phrasings. Draft 1 is then read out loud back to you - any paragraph that sounds 'not me' gets rewritten before delivery.
Can you write US-style admissions essays for Common App, Harvard, Stanford, Wharton?
Yes. We have writers who interviewed candidates at Ivy League and M7 business schools. Common App, Coalition, HBS, Stanford GSB, Yale SOM, MIT Sloan, Wharton, Booth, Kellogg, Columbia, Cornell, NYU Stern, INSEAD - all in active rotation.
Can you write Rhodes, Marshall, Chevening or Fulbright scholarship essays?
Yes. Scholarship-essay writing is a specialist sub-practice. Each scholarship has distinct evaluation criteria - Rhodes wants 'character and leadership', Chevening wants 'UK-influence trajectory', Fulbright wants 'cross-cultural ambassadorship'. We write to the specific rubric for each, not a generic scholarship essay.
Will scholarship committees detect AI-written essays?
Most major scholarship bodies (Rhodes, Marshall, Chevening, Fulbright) now use AI-detection tools as standard. Every Projectsdeal personal essay is human-written by a UK academic and verified with a 0% Turnitin AI report before delivery. We have not had a single AI-detection flag in 23+ years.
Can you handle reflective coursework essays without an NMC framework?
Yes. If your brief asks for 'reflective writing on your learning experience' without specifying Gibbs / Driscoll / Rolfe (which would push it into nursing coursework territory), we treat it as a personal essay - voice-driven, narrative, not framework-locked. UCL IOE, Roehampton Counselling, KCL Social Work and most MA Creative Writing programmes use this format.
How long does a personal essay take to deliver?
Standard turnaround is 3-5 days because the discovery process needs time. Express turnaround (24-48 hours) is available for scholarship-application emergencies but the discovery call gets compressed.
Can I get a personal essay written from a few notes?
Yes - if your notes contain enough specific incidents and detail. The minimum we need is 6-10 specific moments from your life that fit the brief's evaluation criteria.
Will my personal essay be unique and original?
Yes. Every personal essay is written from a blank document based on YOUR specific life events. We never reuse personal essays across clients (it would be impossible - the stories are individual). Turnitin similarity is typically <2% and Turnitin AI is 0%.
Is using a personal essay writing service legal in the UK?
Yes. Personal essay coaching, drafting and editing services are legal in the UK. Specific scholarship and admissions bodies have their own disclosure rules; we recommend checking each scholarship's terms before submitting.
